They took place on Wednesday 20 February 2008 at the Earls Court Exhibition Centre in London. This was the 28th edition of the Brit Awards. Brit Awards is one of the biggest annual pop music awards in United Kingdom. The ceremony was hosted by the Osbourne family, meaning Sharon, Ozzy, Kelly and Jack Osbourne, with backstage footage by Fearne Cotton. Mika, Leona Lewis, Rihanna, Kylie Minogue, Beth Ditto, Amy Winehouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Mark Ronson, Adele, Daniel Merriweather, Sir Paul McCartney, Klaxons were the artists who performed on the awards.

2. British Female Solo Artist : Kate Nash
3. British Group : Arctic Monkeys
4. Mastercard British Award : Arctic Monkeys for the album "Favourite Worst Nightmare"
5. British Single Shortlist : Take That for the single "Shine"

7. British Live Act : Take That
8. International Male Solo Artist : Kanye West
9. International Female Solo Artist : Kylie Minogue
10. International Group : Foo Fighters
11. International Album : Foo Fighters for the album "Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace"
12. Critic's Choice : Adele
13. Outstanding Contribution to Music : Sir Paul McCartney

Needless to say that Leona Lewis was nominated in many of the categories but she didn't win any of the awards... Weird.
