R.I.P. Yves Saint Lauren
One of the best fashions designers, Yves Saint Laurent, passed away on Sunday 1st of June 2008 in Paris (France) age 71.
Yves Saint Laurent, along with Christian Dior and Coco Chanel were some of the very first creators of Paris as a motherland of the fashion.
He was born in Algeria during 1936. He made his first fashion steps at the age of 17 by winning a fashion contest. Just a year later his victory, in 1954 he started taking courses of fashion designs at the college of "Chambre Syndicale" but he just attended course for 3 months. The reason is Christian Dior, who met him and took him to work with him. After, Dior's death in 1957, Sain Laurent became president of the Dior fashion home being just 21 years old! In 1962, he made his own fashion home and his first collection won many many fans!! The "Life" magazine called him then successor of Coco Channel!! In 1983, the Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicated a whole manifestation for him and his art. In January of 2002, Yves took away from the fashion world by organizing a last fashion show. It was the same period that he made it clear for his health problems (he was suffering from depression).
For many people, Yves was the best at his work. Maybe Coco Channel started the fashion for the 20th century, but for sure, Yves made it more powerful by his arts...
REST IN PEACE YVES SAINT LAURENT...
