Good bye Benijing, hello London!
The 29th Olympic Games are now over. On August 24 2008, Benijing organized a fantastic show for the closing ceremony inside Beijing National Stadium. The direction was by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou. Apart from the beautiful musical Chinese bands, the 1.100 dancers and acrobates, the 10.500 athletes there were also many musical acts, including the British super star Leona Lewis (who sang the song "Whole Lotta Love"). Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmu Page. A special appearance made the football player David Beckham. Apart from the British stars, Chinese American singer Wang Lee Hom and South Korean entertainer Rain Han Hong sang also some songs. Last but not least, Hong Kong singer Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, Kelly Chen and Joey Yung made their appearances.
The ceremony also included the handover of the fames from Beijing to London. Gu Jinlong, the Mayor of Beijing, handed over the Olympic flag to the Mayor of London Boris Johnson. .
