Press Conference for Sakis Rouvas...
Today, 14 October 2008, Sakis Rouvas, who is the Greek singer at Eurovision 2008, had his press conference inside The Hilton hotel in Athens to give further information about his entry at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest which will be held in Russia.
The Maggira Sisters, like last year, will be the hosts of the Greek National Final and will also be the commentators of the Contest for Greece.
Fokas Evagelinos will be responsible for the stage performance. Fokas is the perfect person for this as he has also resumed Helena Paparizou's performance (Greece 2005 - Winner), Koldun's performance (Belarus 2007 - 4th place), Dima Bilan's performance (Russia 2008 - Winner), Ani Lorak's performance (Ukraine 2008 - 2nd place) and also Sakis' 2004 performance in Instanbul (3rd place).
Dimitris Kontopoulos, one of the most famous and most talented Greek composers, is going to be the main composer of all the 3 songs of Sakis for the Greek National Final. The names of the lyricists are not yet announced.
The Greek National Final is said to be held on 17 February 2009 and the people will choose the Greek entry for the Eurovision 2009 via SMS voting.
Sakis Rouvas, during his press conference, did not forget to mention Kalomira's great performance on the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 and the very good 3rd place she managed to win. He said that he is very sad with her leaving from Greece and that she will always be a shining star for the Greeks!
All Greeks - and the fans of Sakis of course, wish him the very best of luck for the 2nd Eurovision Song Contest in his life.
