K O S T A S M A R T A K I S

Handsome, nice voice and nice person! These are the words of the Greek people when they're asked about Kostas Martakis! Kostas was born in Athens on 25/5/1984. He started his carreer as a model but he became famous as a singer after appearing in the talent show "Dream Show : The music". Shorlty after his appearance on the show, he signed a contract with Sony BMG Greece realeasing his first cd-single entitled "Panta mazi" (Always together). In June 2007 his first album was released under the title "Anatropi" (Reversal) including many hits like "Ne", "Thelo epigontos diakopes", "Astous na lene" etc. In the summer of 2007 he also took part of the International Competition "New Wave Festival 2007" held in Latvia, scored the 4th place. He also singed with Sony BMG Russia to release an English album. Seeing his popularity, ERT (The greek national broadcaster) asked him to compeate in the National Final to represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. Kostas will finally compeate in the NF with the song "Always and forever" (music by Dimitris Kontopoulos / lyrics by Vicky Gerothodorou). Rumors says that the song will be also released in Greek and in Russian.
